MATURATION AND REFINEMENT:

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Ageing in oak barrels for 30 months and 12 months of bottle refinement.

 

TASTING NOTES:

Colour: Deep ruby red with garnet red shades. Nose: Fine, airy, with hints of violet, tobacco,coffee.

Palate: Fresh, harmonious, persistent, with a pleasant- ly bitter aftertaste.

 

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14% vol.

 

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS:

First courses, roast or boiled meat, red meat, seasoned cheese.

 

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 60°-64°F.

Moraine soil. Surface 3.7 acres, 985 ft. a.s.l.. Guyot cultivation. Density 1200 plants/acre.

 

MATURATION AND REFINEMENT:

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature . The wine is left to rest in steel tanks to highlight the peculiarities of the native Upper Piedmont vine.

 

TASTING NOTES:

Colour: Peach pink.

Nose: Fresh, harmonious and very persistent.

Palate: Fine, airy, with hints of flowers and red fruits.

 

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12% vol.

 

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS:

First courses, pizza, roast meat, white meat, soup and vegetables.

 

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 50°-54°F.

Gattinara (VC), Northern Piedmont.

 

VINEYARD:

"Galizja" single vineyard, the highest in Gattinara. South-West exposure, altitude a.s.l. 1300-1500 ft., red volcanic porphyry soil. Vines age 1985-2001. Harvest late October.

 

MATURATION AND REFINEMENT:

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Ageing in large oak barrels for 24 months. Ageing in bottles min 9 months.

 

TASTING NOTES:

Color: Deep ruby red with garnet red shades .

Nose: Fine, airy, with hints of liquorice and spicy,

tobacco, coffee.

Palate: Very structured, harmonious, very persistent, with a pleasantly bitter after taste.

 

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5% vol.

 

TOTAL ACIDITY: 6 g/l.

 

RESIDUAL SUGAR: 1 g/l.
